Mark and Deb's Day

It was with great pleasure that we attended the marriage of our second son, Mark to the beautiful Deb at Orange on the 22nd September, 2012. The day was beautiful, the ceremony was lovely and the reception was down to earth and lovely. Thanks to all the people that attended they had a very nice day.

Lots of craft

Have been doing heaps of craft over the last couple of months. It is so relaxing and rewarding to realise the I can do these things. I hope you enjoy all the items that I have made whether it be knitting, crocheting or quilting. These are just two I have heaps more to download today. I have just found what I was looking for so here goes.

I still have a long way to go on this project as I keep running out of yarn but I thought it would be good to see a progression.

I love making the edges on face cloths, as I have been making them since I was a child. The different edges are what I try to achieve.

This is the first quilt I have endeavoured to make in a quilting class. I am so happy with this new project and will continue to quilt. I have made other items since. This quilt still needs its edges done.
I loved doing this project and now it has a lovely red border as well. So easy to make once you have the instructions. Thank you to the lovely ladies at Hobbysew - Kings Park.

More crocheting

This blanket has been made for Wraps With Love Inc. These blankets are sent overseas and to the remote areas of Australia for people needing warmth during their cold seasons. All the wraps are donated by the knitters.

Whilst awaiting the birth of our first great grandchild I decided I would knit and crochet for the arrival. I am pleased with what I have achieved. It has been so long since I knitted something so small.

Much Ado About Nothing

Heaps has happened since I was last in here but remembering it all is a bit of a problem. I am feeling better every day and that's the best. I have been doing a whole lot of crocheting, knitting and playing computer games in order to keep my mind active. I will put up a photo of my newest achievement very soon.

I made this crocheted blanket for Andrew for Christmas 2012. I love the way it turned out.

This throw I made out of bits and pieces and sold it last year at a stall.

This panel is one of nine that I crocheted for my grand daughter Brooke for her 19th Birthday. She doesn't turn 19 till August so she hasn't received it yet. 3/04/2013

The year so far - 2012

Well the beginning of the year started well. February came around and I had my knee replacement done on the 22nd. Five days in hospital at Mount Druitt. Treated very well by all staff. Home to two weeks of nurses, dressings, blood pressures etc. Two trips to hospital for heart palpitations. Sent home with heart regulator tablets and combination of minerals to take. Severe blisters on wound. Lots of pins and needles and numbness. It seems like a year ago and yet it is only 14 weeks. At the moment the scar is mending nicely. My leg is very dry and needs some sorbolene cream. My head went numb and there is no reason for it to have done so. I became very depressed and am now on medication and visits to a pyschologist. I am feeling a lot better but still have a long way to go. I do not have a lot of pain in my leg just a little discomfort now and then. I have not been able to bend my knee as much as I would like but I am still doing the exercises and will continue until it is a lot better.
